Mrs. Joy Kirk has been teaching at St. Patrick School since 1990. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Friends University in Education and a Master’s Degree in Education (emphasis in Reading) from Emporia State College. She has taught a variety of subjects and grades during her 28 years in education, first in public schools, and then at St. Patrick School. Reading has always been a passion for her, so she enjoys working in the Library where she can provide reading materials for students and encourage them in their learning of reading. Teaching a 5th Grade reading class as well as facilitating the SFA Reading Program fill up her day. She and her husband, Keith, are parents to three adult children, and they are now enjoying being grandparents as well. She considers it a privilege to teach at St. Patrick School where faith and education go hand in hand.
