Project Lead the Way
Project Lead the Way is an educational program developed for middle school and high school students to prepare and encourage them to become involved in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).The middle school program is called Gateway to Technology (GTT).
Cargill provided funding to launch the program at St. Patrick School during the 2010-2011 school year.
The objectives for the Project Lead the Way program at St. Patrick Catholic School are the following:
- Expose students to STEM-related careers (science, technology, engineering, and math)
- Reinforce math and science concepts and skills
- Develop problem-solving and teamwork skills
During the 2010-2011 school year, all of the 7th and 8th students at St. Patrick participated in the class, Design and Modeling.
